About the event
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Obari Cartman into our community Tuesday, March 29th at 7:00pm cst, as we discuss black men and their relationship with Covid and mental health.
Dr. Cartman is a Chicago native, who’s cultural and educational foundation was cultivated by several African focused institutions - Dr. Cartman received his undergraduate degree from Hampton University, and earned a Ph.D in clinical & community psychology from Georgia State University.
Some of his most recent work involves him being a restorative justice coach, a trauma focused clinician program evaluator for Healing Empowering and Learning Professionals (H.E.L.P.), as well as the author to critically acclaimed “Lady’s Man: Conversations for Young Men about Manhood and Relationships.”
Even more so, Dr. Cartman has recently created a male rites of passage curriculum titled MANifest; the likes of which is being implemented into juvenile detention centers, schools and private community settings.
Join us to take part in a robust, informative, and special evening that could ultimately, save a loved one’s life!
